Welcome to Stockholm Ultra Marathon 4 August
The first ever Stockholm Ultra Marathon will take place on Sunday, 4 August 2013. This will be the largest promotion ever of ultra running in Scandinavia.
The event has two races: 50km and 100km.
Stockholm Ultra Marathon is run on a beautiful course in the Royal National City Park in Central Stockholm. The course is 7.9km long. The surface is asphalt (4.3km of the lap) and hard-packed gravel (3.6km of the lap).

400 runners from 27 countries have registered
By 22 April, 400 runners from 27 countries have registered. 205 of them have chosen the 50km race (131 men and 74 women) 195 have chosen the 100km race (162 men and 33 women). 1,500 runners will be accepted for the 2013 Stockholm Ultra Marathon.

We run in the Royal National City Park
Only a stone’s throw from the city centre of Stockholm you can experience a unique historic landscape interwoven with parkland, beautiful buildings, forests and open land. The Royal National City Park stretches from Sörentorp and Ulriksdal in the north to Gärdet and Djurgården in the south. The Stockholm Ultra Marathon is run in Gärdet and Djurgården.

The scenic Stockholm Ultra Marathon course
The Stockholm Ultra Marathon offers a scenic course along the island of Djurgården, situated in the center of the Swedish capital. The 7.9 kilometers lap ihas a difference of 13 meters between the highest and lowest point.
Roughly half of the course (54%) is run on asphalt, the remaining 46 percent on a gravel road. Large segments of the course follows the waters of Stockholm.

Great races in Sweden 2013

1 June: ASICS Stockholm Marathon
The 35th ASICS Stockholm Marathon will be an exiting race in a beautiful city with 21,500 runners from all over the world. Enthusiastic spectators line the route in the Swedish capital. At the finish in the classical 1912 Olympic Stadium thousands of fans greet the runners.

4 August: Stockholm Ultra Marathon

7 September: Tjejmilen
This is the biggest sporting event in Sweden for women with 33,000 female runners and joggers of all ages. The 30th Tjejmilen will be staged on Saturday 7 September 2013.
Everyone loves the scenic course through the royal park ”Djurgården” in central Stockholm. The distance is 10,000 metres.

14 September DN Stockholm Half Marathon
Welcome to the DN Stockholm Half Marathon. Start and finish at the Royal Palace. 17,000 runners from all over the world. Inspiring course through the central districts of the Swedish capital.
